Nutcracker Ballet, thanksgiving, and life

Yesterday I spent 11 hours shooting for the Cache Civic Ballet's Nutcracker Dress rehearsal. It was SOOO fun! So much work, but so enjoyable, we got some great images I was very excited about. I will post some soon. When I got home last night I was unloading my cards and one of them said there was no photos on the card, I freaked out because it was the card with all the individual photos on it. But then I decided to just go to bed and pray that tomorrow they would show up somehow. I got up about 7 this morning and decided to go get another card reader to try, and sure enough, it worked! All the images were there! I just started tearing up and thanked my Father in Heaven for his tender mercy, it was probably a very little thing in the scheme of life, but it was huge to me. I'm thankful that he cares about what is important to me, even the little things. He truly is remarkable.

I'm spending Thanksgiving today with my family in Richmond at my brother Shariks. I'm excited, most the family will show up off and on throughout the day, I'm excited to be able to see them all. My heart aches for my sweet Aunt Beth who's son just died, I'm sure thanksgiving is a little bitter sweet for her this year. His funeral is tomorrow. I pray she will feel an abundance of peace today.

Life is short

This morning my cousin who is about 5 years younger then me passed away. They don't know if it was foul play or what happened. He had cleaned up his life so much and was really working on overcoming bad habits, it's sad to see his progress stopped short. I'm glad he is in a place of rest now though. May he be at peace. My love and prayers go out to my Aunt Beth. She has had more then her fair share of hardships in this life. I pray for her peace.

Posting

Coming up with a header for my posts is always the hardest part for me.

More than one person told me I don't update my blog very often, which made me happy, because then at least I know someone is reading my blog! haha

Things have been better than usual. Probably due to the fact that I have been working hard on ME the past few weeks. I'm trying hard to be a kind person and think more of others. I'm working on reading my scriptures and growing my own personal relationship with God. I'm trying to get my exercise in and get all my work done. And working on spending quality time with my baby.

So much to do! But I'm less stressed and more at peace then I have been in a long time. Not sure why, but I'm going to enjoy it while it's lasting.

I got asked to shoot for the Nutcracker Ballet dress rehearsal at the Ellen Eccles over thanksgiving! I am sooo excited! This is a big break for me, I have a lot of dreams I'm working on, and this is one of them coming true! I am starting up a photo business with my niece and we are very excited about it. I have sat on the fence way to long about going ahead with a photo business. We have had a lot of sessions lately and they have been so fun! I'm finally enjoying shooting again. Icon kinda knocked the fun out of me.

I will have to post photos, I'm super bad about it, but I'm working on it!
