Nutcracker Ballet, thanksgiving, and life

Yesterday I spent 11 hours shooting for the Cache Civic Ballet's Nutcracker Dress rehearsal. It was SOOO fun! So much work, but so enjoyable, we got some great images I was very excited about. I will post some soon. When I got home last night I was unloading my cards and one of them said there was no photos on the card, I freaked out because it was the card with all the individual photos on it. But then I decided to just go to bed and pray that tomorrow they would show up somehow. I got up about 7 this morning and decided to go get another card reader to try, and sure enough, it worked! All the images were there! I just started tearing up and thanked my Father in Heaven for his tender mercy, it was probably a very little thing in the scheme of life, but it was huge to me. I'm thankful that he cares about what is important to me, even the little things. He truly is remarkable.

I'm spending Thanksgiving today with my family in Richmond at my brother Shariks. I'm excited, most the family will show up off and on throughout the day, I'm excited to be able to see them all. My heart aches for my sweet Aunt Beth who's son just died, I'm sure thanksgiving is a little bitter sweet for her this year. His funeral is tomorrow. I pray she will feel an abundance of peace today.

Oh, the memory cards... they can give you heart attacks. :) I had a similar experience awhile ago... except it was my own fault. I wrote about it on my blog. I'm so glad your photos were there!
