I forgot to write a few other cute things Aspen said this week...see, I knew I'd forget.
* Don't tickle me, you don't tickle me
* Drive the truck? I don't cry! drive the truck? (This is because she always wants to drive his truck when he parks, but when she cries, he says "You can't drive when you cry about it" so she decided to get smart the other day and "Not cry" and let us know "I don't cry" so that she could "Drive the truck" it was hillarious
* brought me her baby doll and said, "hold baby for a sec"
okay, I know it's kinda boring to have to hear every thing she says, but mostly this is for my journal, so I figure it's okay.
thanks for bearing with me!

Update on Aspen
* 2 years old now
* She is still on "potty strike" she figured 3 days of potty training and going in the potty was plenty - we'll have to work on that one more
* talks a LOT Here are some things she has said lately:
- Doggy says goodmorning
- Cute Cute
- Grandma sit down, come here, sit down (All the while pushing her towards the couch)
- mom, i want to see grandma
- mom, lay down
- play with Hayden
- are you serious?
- Uncle Shalee in Iraq
- Baby needs a bottle
- I need it
- so funny
and lots lots more that I can't think of right now, but she talks in sentences, and a LOT. She is a hoot and makes people laugh with how much she talks
* She loves bubbles
* loves to sing - we often will walk in a room and hear her singing to herself. Her favorite songs right now are "Jesus wants me for a sunbeam" "Twinkle Twinkle" "Baa Baa Blacksheep" Alicia Keys song "No One" ha ha...she heard it on the radio once, and sings the chorus part all the time now, it's rather funny. Makes us careful about what we let her listen to. Also "Umbrella" by Rhiana my funny girl. Oh, and she sings a song called "poor little robin" that my mom made up when she was younger...
* she is a PICKY eater
* loves baths
* she has started picking her nose...to my dismay
* she is a bundle of business...it's a wonder I get anything done
* still not much hair poor girl
* loves to "Cheese" for the camera, and says "take a picture"
Oh, there is so much I love about this little imp. She is a funny little thing. I'm glad she is mine!

An apple a day keeps the Dr. away!
Today I had to take Aspen to the Dr. to finish her round of shots. As soon as we walked into the office, she started saying "no dotor, no dotor, finger better, no dotor" because last time we took her, she had a sore on her finger, and they had to prick her finger and squeeze blood out and she hated it super bad. It was rather funny to listen to her keep repeating what she REALLY did not want.
She of course screamed during her shots as always...I hate making her get those dang shots and listening to her scream poor thing. But when they were done, they put bandaids on her legs, and she started screaming harder saying "no bandaids, no bandaids!" and she ripped those bandaids off and then stopped crying and announced "All better" It was rather funny. The nurses started laughing, and went out and told everyone in the office about it. That's my funny girl. Dramatic till the end. She'll make a great actress someday.
Well, that's it on my sharing list this week. Nothing else to say. Just keeping busy here as always. I have lots of pictures to post, but I get lazy about getting them off my camera and on the computer. I'll work on it.

Things that make you say "Ahhhh"
When my baby wraps her arms around my neck
when she says "Thank you" for everything
"hold you mom?" which really means hold me mom...
"chocolate milk?...NO WAY." (She use to ask me for "chocate milt" and I would say to her "NO WAY" so now she says it herself before I have a chance to say "no way"
Scrunchy eye smiles
Pet sounds
bubble time
Sweet kisses
I LOVE my little girl. She makes life worth living. She makes me smile even when I'm upset at her. The other day I was trying to get after her for something, and told her to look at me so I could talk to her, and she kept giving me her scrunch eye smile, and it was all I could do to not let her see me bustin up laughing when I'm supposed to be disciplining her. Sometimes she is just so dang funny! LOVE being a mom...it goes so quickly. I look at her and she just seems to grow more and more everday. Ahhh...

I so needed this talk!
I was so touched today by Elder M. Russell Ballard's (Quorum of the twelve)talk! I'm sure every woman was. I especially needed to hear this message, because I often feel inadequate in being a wife and mother and knowing who I am and feeling like it's okay to take the time to figure that out. His message gave my heart such a warm feeling, and I so appreciated that our Church leaders are so mindful of us as a Woman of God. I took some quick notes. I'm sure they are not super accurate, but I thought that it would be okay if I shared what I got from his talk and what touched my heart.

Time for a new post..
Well...I said I' be better about updating...the truth is...after that last run of blogging, I'm out of things to blog about. No new pictures yet, and just busy as ever.
I went to Salt Lake yesterday to take some more pictures on my Brother In law and his fiance - we took them at BYU, and WOW! BYU is so much prettier than USU. Sorry to those who love it here...but the grounds are not NEAR as beutiful as BYU. Aspen had a ball. She chased the ducks all around and laughed and laughed. It was so cute. I can't believe how much she keeps growing. She talks in sentences now, and it still amazes me everytime she opens her mouth. I just can't believe how well she talks!
My grandma (the one that's 103...i think...) told my mom yesterday that I use to write to her all the time and never do now, and she's sad about it, so I better go do that right now...what a horrid granddaughter I feel like...gosh if life wouldn't get so busy and would just give me more time...
