First Photography Session!

So I'm a beginner. But I like them. And I know I will get better. I'm happy for any suggestions or comments!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! Every year we get together and color eggs on Saturday and then do an easter egg hunt on Sunday after dinner. It's good family time. Next year I'd like to start a tradition of reading the Easter Story or something. I'd really love to start some traditions for our little family. Aspen didn't get too into it this year like I wanted her to, but at least she liked it for a moment. Maybe next year she'll enjoy it more.

Happy St Patty's Day!

I'm catching up on all the posts I missed, so I know this is super late. Oh well...I'm late on lots of things this month.

So Happy Late St. Patty's Day!! I LOVE St. Patty's Day. My dad has always been proud of his Irish ancestry.

Anyway, I bought Ashton some green balloons...made sure to get the Spiderman one, because Aspen and Ashton like Spiderman. And I got him some green candies and wrote him a poem. Nothing too big, since I didn't have much time. Next year. (That's always my moto...next year...)

Happy 2nd Birthday Aspen

Wow! 2 years! The time really has gone by quickly. I look at my baby er...I mean toddler...and it makes me so sad. I miss her being a baby so much. That time went by faster than I expected it to. People always tell you that the time will go by quickly...I KNEW it...but I just didn't KNOW it. You want so much to see them learn and grow, and develop new abilities of learning...and then they do. Quickly. And they aren't a baby anymore!! Now I know I'm kinda "Crying" here...but it was a hard day for me on her birthday, realizing how much she has grown up. Alright. Now I will post pictures and stop whining.

Catching my breath along the way...

Okay, really don't have time right now...I'm super behind, and I hate that, because this is my journal, and it means my journal is behind. So here is a short list of things that I will come back and expand on more later on...bare with me everyone! I've been making lots of changes with work, and I've been sick sick...when it rains it pours...

Moved office downstairs so Ashton and I can be on our computers side by side and get a little "Together time" in when he's studying and I'm working...never lets up does it?

On the 16th or March Aspen turned 2 -pics to come

2nd week of March - Aspen sleeps in a big girl bed and STAYS - she even tucks herself into bed now

Easter day: Had my first attempt at a "Photography session" with my brother in law and his fiance for there announcement pics...it was fun - pics to come...

March 25th - Aspen woke up and tried to get us to come open her bedroom door by half crying half singing "ba, ba black sheep have you any wool, yes sir, yes sir, 3 baaagggsss fullll!! mom!! one for master, one for DAMMMMEEE, one for the boy down the laaannnee!! MOM! wahhh!!" that's how the song went this morning, and I burst out laughing listening to her on the monitor. It was so cute.

March 25th - meeting with a councelor at USU to go over what classes I have left to take to graduate! Back to school! I'm going to get my degree with a major in Graphic arts, and a minor in photography (Heather Taylor is definitely my inspiration, she AMAZES me with her photography - seriously, she is the best!...but I think I want to do wedding photography...something about the magic of the day works for me...) I think...it can always change. I originally started out in psychology...such is life.

That's about all I think...I'll cover them all more later. Gotta run, lots to do!

When will she stop growing so fast!

Okay my friends. I am on my knees. I admit it, as much as I don't like to...I NEED HELP!! When is Aspen going to stop being smarter than I am? Today she grabbed Ashtons fave and faced him towards her and said "Listen to me, listen to me" just like she was the parent. Then today, she wrapped her little arms around my neck when I was putting her to bed, and said "Come here" because she wanted me to get into her bed with her. THEN, tonight she figured out how to climb OUT OF HER BED!!! ahhh!! I've been dreading this day! I didn't want her to learn this trick. So now it is 11:30 at night, and I have a little girl that keeps crawling out of her bed, and opening her door and coming out. Now I would lock the door, but I need a different lock. She can unlock this one. Sooo. my question to you is...how do you get them to sleep in there bed??? This is going to drive me insane I can tell. Well, happy sleeping everyone!

This is as good as it gets...

Well, nothing to say there...guess you can all figure out what I'm feeling. We are back to THIS week again. I always hate THIS week. I feel overwhelmed, and I always take on more than I can handle, and I get anxiety, and I don't get to see Aspen much...not to mention Ashton...clothes, makeup, hair...all a mess. This is what I call my "Messy week" and I'm sure feeling it strong & earlier this month. I agreed to take on some projects that I forgot to think of the timing for...so now I'm just stressing.

So anyway, I really don't have time to be blogging, but I needed to vent and get my anxiety out on paper...see if I can't get feeling better...and maybe get more than 4 hours of sleep tonight...somedays I wish I didn't have to work! But I sure have been blessed, so I guess I can't complain too much...I DO get to work at home at least.
