Sushi Anniversary Anyone?

So I know what a lot of you are probably thinking...the exact same thing I used to think. Sushi? Absolutely NOT! No thank you, don't even bring it close....ahhhh but lo and behold...I tried it...and...I LIKE it! I even CRAVE it as of late. (Wish it was due to pregnancy...but sadly it is NOT) The first time my sushi loving husband tried to get me to eat sushi, I seriously almost lost it. The second time, I tried a tiny nibble...and almost lost it. (I stuck with Teriyaki Chicken...the good stuff!) The THIRD time, he got me to start eating California rolls. I didnt think I liked them, but found myself craving them out of the middle of nowhere! WEIRD! Then all of a sudden, I WANTED sushi. The real stuff. Not just the yummy California rolls, but the RAW TUNAFISH! What was I thinking!!!??? But...I LIKED IT! Who would have guessed. It only took us a dozen times going and a dozen times gagging, before I actually wanted it. Not bad. It's always an adventure with my husband. He always gets me liking things I never think I will. So that was my lovely day today! I craved Sushi, and I ate sushi.

It's our anniversary today, which is why I choose sushi in the first place. I knew it was my husbands favorite, and I thought it would be nice to go to a place he liked, and since I was in the mood for it, it worked out perfect. We really didn't do much at all. He worked. I worked. We sold my car, and went to eat. That was our day. It's the first we've spent together in the 3 years we've been married. How fun is that!! Now I am going to bed! I love Ashton very much, and I'm thankful to have him and Aspen in my life. And although it's not always sunshine and roses, it's a pretty good life I suppose. Love you Ashton! Thanks for the Sunshine you bring to my life!

Congrats on having a together anniversary! Sounds like yours was just about as fun as mine always is...

Sushi, huh? Never really tried it. I have had some seaweed wrap thing before and I loved it. Maybe I'll be brave and venture out one of these days.

Happy anniversary! I'm glad you guys were finally together! Sometimes, that's really all that you need. Our last 2 anniversaries have been pretty simple, but enjoyable. glad you tried sushi! I LOVE sushi! I can't even understand people that don't! I love the nori (seaweed) so much, I craved it so bad when I was pregnant. YUM! Now you've made me jealous!

Wow, I am impressed. I like the thought of liking sushi, but I just can't do it for some reason. I am proud of you, I wish I did like it.

Happy anniversary!!! I wish I'd managed to develop a love, or even a like, for raw fish but alas, my time in Japan must have been wasted. I'm so glad there's people in America who can truly enjoy and even crave the stuff! :)
